Adam Gerber

Venture Scout

Adam Gerber is a Scout at Archer Venture Capital.  He brings over 30 years of ad industry experience across Agency, AdTech and Media Companies and an ability to offer unique perspectives from roles that spanned traditional and digital media, both buy and sell-side.

In May 2026, he joined Media.net - a performance focussed SSP and solutions platform to lead strategy and go-to-market initiatives.

Previously, he served as Sr. Director, Global Ads Commercialization at Netflix where he led a team responsible for developing ad models and go-to-market solutions for Live and content-led sponsorships/custom programs.  He joined Netflix in 2022 as one of the first members of the Global Ads team.

In prior roles, he served as Executive Director, US Investment Strategy for GroupM, WPP’s media investment group, working across clients that included NBCUniversal, Unilever, Ford, Google, Mars, The Coca-Cola Company, and L’Oreal.  He joined GroupM in 2017, initially as  Global Chief Investment Officer at Essence, recognized as one of the industry’s most innovative media agencies.

Prior to Essence, Gerber spent six years at ABC/Disney where he departed as SVP, Client Development & Communications, helping ABC’s sales team transition from the linear to streaming model.  From 2006 to 2010, he served as an evangelist for the digitally-oriented audience measurement and targeting company Quantcast as Chief Marketing Officer.

Gerber began his career in 1990 working across a variety of roles at startups and media agencies including Brightcove, America Online, Mediavest Worldwide/Publicis, Ammirati Puris Lintas/IPG and J Walter Thompson/WPP.

In addition to his work with Archer, Gerber currently serves on advisory boards for Audyns and BigHappy, alongside continued work across IAB committees and task forces.  He has been recognized by Adweek and Mediaweek over the course of his career as one of the industry’s leading figures in media.  Gerber holds a B.S. degree in Journalism and a B.A. degree in International Relations from Boston University, and resides in Westchester with his wife and two children.
